Form-fitting: Katherine Heigl stunned in a Victoria Beckham dress at the premiere of her new film Killers in London tonight

Katherine Heigl lived up to the title of her latest film Killers as she turned out to the London premiere tonight, dressed to kill, in a Victoria Beckham dress.

The American actress looked like she meant business in the form-fitting number, which clung in all the right places.

She opted for the R'el Dade design, a pencil-skirted dress, slashed at the neck and complete with a trademark VB zip running down the back.

Unfortunately, her leading man, Ashton Kutcher, who plays her on-screen husband in the film, was unable to attend the event in Leicester Square tonight.

Instead she had to make do with cosying up to the director, Robert Luketic, on the specially-themed pink carpet.

Heigl, 31, teamed her outfit with a pair of sky-high heels and wore her brunette hair in a sweptback curls style.

Man on her arm: Her leading man Ashton Kutcher was unable to attend, so she posed with director Robert Luketic on the pink carpet instead

In the film she plays blonde Jen Kornfeldt, a fun-loving computer technician, who falls for undercover government-hired super-assassin Spencer Aimes (Kutcher).

The pair quickly end up tying the knot in a whirlwind wedding, but three years later the tables are turned when the pair are target of a multi-million dollar hit.

The hired killers have been stalking the happy couple for years and could be anyone - from their neighbours to their local grocery shop worker.

Heigl, who is now a mother to 10-month-old adopted Naleigh from South Korea, claims she was inspired by her own mother, who adopted her Korean sister Meg when she was a child.

She told Metro: 'It's so funny. My mum and I joke about it when people say "you're just doing it because it's trendy".'

'My mum says "Well, i'm trendier than everybody because I was doing it in the 1970s when I adopted your sister." Heigl is married to Josh Kelley.

Killers is released in cinemas in the UK on June 16.
